the much anticipated shower part 2

To start off the second part I must say thank you for checking it out! I hope I don’t bore you too much with all the images.

The location was absolutely amazing. Not enough nice things I can say about it. Layton’s Chance winery is owned by my brother in-law’s family, and they are the nicest people! If you live in the Eastern Shore I’d say it’s a definite stop!

Right as you came in is where we had the main table, with the favors, guestbook (this amazing onesie her friend made) and where everyone dropped the gifts off. I last minute decided on adding the banner (I think I made it on the week of) but I love how it all came together. It was an adorable table, if I must say so.

My sister photoshopped the picture by just adding the bow and it was a hit with everyone! She also asked that guests bring books in lieu of cards, and it was so awesome to see all the fun books Ayla now has! The one above was from me, because as soon as I heard about the pregnancy I went out and bought Sophie. I hope she enjoys that little giraffe and all the stories she’s in!

Is there anything more adorable than wrapping paper for kids?! I was so sad when my sister tore them up to get to the gift.. I’d probably spend ages trying to salvage them.

This amazing diaper stroller was actually made by one of my coworkers. She is so sweet! It was definitely one of the highlights of the day, and lots of people took pictures to show it around. Isa, if you ever read this, you’re so talented!!

helena_shower13helena_shower12We had a few children come to the shower, and I worried about whether they’d have a good time or just get bored, since they couldn’t really play outside. Turns out they were the most excited of the bunch to be playing baby bingo and guessing the belly size. They ended up winning the bingo too!

Everyone had such a great time at the shower! The atmosphere was amazing, and everyone had lots of fun. I hope I did my family proud, and especially my sister and niece.

Back at her house we started sorting through the amazing gifts, finding a home for everything in the nursery. I can’t wait for everything to be ready. My sister is already on her 30th week and we’re down to single digits!

We will keep anxiously waiting for the little one’s arrival, and I’ll be on the lookout to help out with all the future parties too ;)

  1. You did such a fantastic job! I love your idea of having the guests sign a onsie. Such a sweet gift!
