Each Lovely Thing

Sorry about the cobwebs, and quietness around these parts.

There have been some great things in motion that I’m super excited to share with you. As of the past week, each lovely thing became it’s own thing.

It’s no longer just my personal blog. I’ve prayed, studied and thought over and over about where I wanted this brand to go. About what I really wanted to do with my life. It started as a thought, it became reality when I created this blog, and after so much encouragement, thought, time, and love, I’m so very happy and proud to show off the fruits of our labor.

each lovely thing

Yes, our. This place was built initially by me, but without my husband’s, family and friend’s contribution this would not truly have happened. You guys are amazing, each and every single one of you.

This dream of mine is only possible because of your faith in me. Because of the love and care that you have given me. Thank you for keeping up with me and my blog through my other social media outlets, and for your support.

So, in this mindset, I present to you the new and improved each lovely thing site. I hope you stick by me as I unfold this dream of mine, and I appreciate your support, as always.

To celebrate this step (and my birthday week) I’m giving you a 15% off promo code! When  you buy at least $20 in products you can take 15% off of your total! Just use the promo code LAUNCH15!

Thank you for all your love and support! I can’t wait to see where this dream of mine takes me!

Encouragement is key

Life is made of trials. Life is made of choices, and you hope you pick the right one for you and your family, if you at all have a choice.

When it came down to which path to take, I’ve been very, very blessed to have so many encouraging voices around me. A family that cares for me, our struggles, and most of all, loving voices that support our choices and guide us through our journey.

And I’ve needed a lot of guidance.

I’ve been feeling “out of it” lately. There’s not much I do when that happens. I have no inspiration, no energy, no willpower. I go to work, come home exhausted, watch tv, go to bed.

By day 3, the hubs sat down with me.

He held my hand, looked into my eyes and asked me to share the burden. Asked me to open up, share my struggle, find some peace.

He listened, he heard me. And he gave me what I needed most: encouragement.

be thankful sign

I never realized how much I need his support. How much his encouragement and having him on my team matters to me. And I thank God every day ( I truly do) for giving me the chance to share a life with this guy.

Plus our amazing friends also have our back, and it’s funny how much encouragement comes from the most unexpected places too. I am so very thankful for all the love and support I’ve gotten lately.

And just like that my energy came back. That fire within me started burning bright and my passion for art and lettering was increased ten fold. I am stepping out of my comfort zone, and trying to work with mediums and techniques I haven’t used as often.

And can I confess..

I’m loving it!

I don’t know where that will take me, or if there’s a future there at all. But I am having a blast connecting with my inner creativity and letting my passion flow through my pen + brush.

So if you have a minute, please check back to my shop and check out the new items. It means the world to me. And I’m very thankful for each of you for your support.

New Beginnings

Sorry about the silence.

This week has been one of changes, as I told before. Changes don’t always follow a timeline.

One thing I’ve noticed, and should’ve known already, is that this change will affect people differently. So many people were welcoming,  nice, warm and friendly. But then.. there are the ones whose uncalled comments cut deeper than they imagine.

I’d like to think it says more about them than me.

But I’m now focused on my future. Not my past.

New beginnings bring out the fresh sense of adventure. And I’m ready for it. My heart is open for new experiences. And in that mindset, here are some favorites on this 3rd of july.

// 4th of July: We are set to have showers throughout the day, which is a bummer. I bought a new swimsuit and all thinking of bbq by the pool. But we will make the best of our day together, I’m’ sure. Moreover, it’s not about the bbq, but it’s about honoring the day. And that will happen come sunshine or rain.

// House projects: We took care of the main problems, but now it’s time to focus on putting it back together. So this Sunday we are putting down some new drywall and a fresh coat of paint in some of the fixes throughout the house.

// New recipes: I’m making a delicious baked apple recipe for 4th of July barbecue at my in-laws. Fingers crossed it’ll turn out great!

// Art: Since we got our tv fixed, and will soon be organizing the office back to what it was before all the tinker, I’m excited to sit down and create more things to add to the shop. I’m also thinking of doing a giveaway to promote it as well. Any ideas?

Happy 4th to you, and yours. Be safe, and enjoy the fireworks and the family!

Etsy love with Mama Designed

Ashley Lee, aka That Southern Mama posted a giveaway on Facebook this Monday.

I had seen her blog before, but didn’t know that she also designed great, funny, summery prints on the side. When she offered a giveaway in honor of opening her etsy shop, I knew I had to join.

I love connecting with other creatives. It makes my heart sing when I see inspiration all over me. just writing it down is giving me the itch to go downstairs and grab my supplies.

Her prints are super fun (I know I just repeated it, but they are!) and sound very sassy. I’m especially drawn to her Hello Deer print, as well as her Psalm 46:5 one.

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is right around the corner. For the first time in a long time, my  mom happens to be in the US! Thank you so much little niece for having your due date around then! On a fun note, my mom (who is an ob/gyn) thinks the baby will come around the 10th, which is Mother’s Day! I’ll say there’s no better present to my sister than her daughter being born.

I’ve been hinting here and there about my Etsy shop, and how weird it was to finally set it up. I’m still in the process of creating a few things, but I already have quite a few Mother Day cards up!

Here are a few options, in case you need some last minute ideas. It’s made to order once the pictured one is sold, but I try to be very prompt with shipping. I’m happy to say I’ve had my first ever customer for these cards, and it made me swell with pride!

Without further ado, here is a sneak peek of my Mother’s Day cards available for purchase.

I already have my mom’s card, but I’ll be honest that I’m a little lost at to what to give my mother and sister in term of gifts..

I have some DIY ideas for my sister, but because my mom needs to go back in june, I don’t want to give her anything bulky. She’s not a pampering person either, so i don’t think the idea of Spa in a Jar or something will make her happy.. Oh well, gotta get started on figuring out what she’d like. I thought of a nice blouse or costume jewelry. Because my sister will obviously go in full force with the grandma stuff, so I want to do something else that she can enjoy.

Any suggestions on where to start?

i opened a shop!

It’s true!

I did it. I took the leap! Butterflies in my stomach and all, but I present you my etsy shop! Here you can find my watercolor and calligraphy artworks for download as a digital file!

It’s been a fun, wild ride, trying to muster the courage to upload this, but here it is! I’m still on the learning process, so I expect my work to get better as the days go by.

Please be kind when commenting, but I’d appreciate all feedback!

And also, the shop can be easily accessed via the menu on the side!
