happy 1st anniversary.. again?

Well, this is weird. Having 2 wedding dates. It can be a confusing task, I’ll tell you. Keeping track of how we are, today, celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary, while actually approaching our 2nd one.

You may be thinking I’m crazy, but here it goes.

Our wedding was in May, when we signed papers and vowed to spend the rest of our lives making the other happy. It was quick, with just family. Fast forward to the following January, and the wedding party for our dear extended family + friends took place.

So this is why, today, I need to do a quick recap.

I love you. I love that we have 2 dates to look back on to celebrate. I love you as a man, as a husband, as a professional. I can’t wait to see you as a dad when the time comes. I love how you hold me, make me feel loved and desired. I love how silly we can be, how comfortable and warm life is with you.

Thank you, for being my shoulder to cry on, my comedian when I’m down, my encourager when I’m lazy, my loving husband and friend each and every single day. This day is when we stood in front of our dearest and shared our promise. So it will always have its space in my heart.

Happy Anniversary(*), love.

anniversary shoot musings

I’ve always been fascinated with pictures. And even more with people that are blessed with the power of capturing a feeling through lenses. I’m not really one of these. But I did, however, meet one of these incredible people a few months back.

I had a hard time picking a photographer for our wedding (which I bet a bunch of other brides do to, right?). But I was sure I had the person down, until, by chance (or was it?) I bumped into the amazing Ellie Berry. She sure changed my life, and my view on photography.

We were lucky enough to have another photo session with her, and boy, does it look promising!

Ellie, I don’t know if you’ll ever read this, but thank you. For this, for memories of our wedding we will forever be able to look back on and cherish, and share with our family, friends, and children. It means the world to us. You are one lucky, amazing, talented person, and we know you’re going far in life. And please, make time in the future, ’cause you’re stuck with the Taylors for all future photo shoots!

I can’t wait to see all the pics, as well as the albums.

Here are a few more pics from my iPhone, so, let’s do me a favor and not compare them, shall we?

Isn’t she the cutest? The talented Ellie, who is more inspiring than she probably realizes.

Feeling all sorts of fancy after my really good friend, Michelle, did my hair and makeup for the shoot.

Beautiful sunset on our way back.

Matchy-matchy. Just how we like it.
