This past weekend, as I posted, my sister and mom came into town. While it was absolutely lovely to see the ladies, there was one shining star during these times.
Miss Aeris.
Now, Aeris isn’t what you’d call a particularly friendly cat. At least she wasn’t. She was scared, she’d hiss, try to attack and possibly get you. She’s a fighter.
Ever since switching her diet (due to some health issues), she’s becoming different. She’s becoming, dare I say, friendly? The vet mentioned that too on her last visit. That she was calmer. She is sure that her poor health was affecting her actions. Well, this weekend may as well be proof of it.
My sister slept over from Saturday to Sunday, and my mom joined in the fun Sunday afternoon. We had only one case where Aeris hissed and tried to swat at my sister, but I had been making such loud noises in the kitchen I do believe it triggered that reaction.
When we came back to the house, a few hours later, with my mom, she was back at being super nice. She totally stretched on my mom’s legs, meowed, socialized and hung around us.
You go, girl. It’s the little victories like that that make me happy. I hope you continue to be this sweet loving kitten both the hubs and I know you are.
(random post brought to you by this cat lady. She’s a cutie, what can I say?)

It’s been a challenge having to apologize to people as they’re walking in, but I hope this change has been permanent. And I know what you mean. When I first moved I left my family kittens at home, and it was hard. I asked my mom if I could bring one of them.. Denied.. haha a good thing the hubs was on board to adopt her! :)
